On Friday, February 3, The Land Trust for the Little Tennessee (LTLT) will host a winter walk along the Little Tennessee River at Needmore to the old Brush Creek Farm. LTLT staff member Dennis Desmond will lead the walk to this secluded cove, his favorite site on the Needmore tract. Meet at Queens Branch at 9 a.m. then we will carpool to location. To get to Queens Branch, go north on HWY 28 from Franklin for 10 miles and the gravel parking lot is on the left side. If you are coming from the Bryson City area, you can meet us at the Swinging Bridge on Needmore Road at 9:30.This walk is free; but registration is required so we can notify you of any cancellation due to weather conditions.
